just came on to make pretty much that post

I was singing his praises last home match, with some on here differing in their opinions, and I thought he did ok against Cardiff. However, I firmly believe he cost us two goals today, or at least played a part in the first two, which meant we were out of the game before it had even begun. He played the ball back to Colgan for the first when he really should have just found row Z of any stand.

For the second goal I feel he was less at fault and their player looked offside (although from the Ponty you can never be sure) but regardless of this Eckersley allowed a through ball to be played from exactly his position and while Rob Atkinson was similarly absent to deal with the attacker the pass found Eckersley should have been putting a foot in or at least making it more difficult.

When Eckersley came in I said "he can't be worse than what we've already got" I stand by that, but on today's performance he's certainly no better. Hopefully he can find some of the form he showed the other week, if not then it just doesn't look good for us.
