Just realised he signed a 2 year contract. Option of a third year. Do we genuinely think this lad was signed as an agent deal with Moncur? Lee just doesn't fit the bill in term of our stats approach to signings. His stats for a striker were awful. How could he have ever been flagged up? He's played on the wing in his minimal appearances but having spoke to someone at the club they told me 'he's a striker for us'. Baffling signing who's now not even making the bench. It would be good to hear Radio Sheffield ask how he's progressing in the next press conference.
Wide player or am. Played their for Colchester. I'd imagine last time he player striker was in Andorra where he scored for WHU at some athletic stadium.
I was told we were looking to use him as back up keeper, as when he was 6 he played in the nets when the regular keeper was told by his mum, that his room wasn't tidy, so he couldn't go to football. He was reyt good he only conceded one goal.
Believe it or not, that actually happened to me many, many years ago! I was 12, in my first year at Holgate. I'd always played in central defence (centre-half, in those days) but on a Saturday morning school game I offered to go in goal because the usual keeper had been "grounded" by his mum. It went very well, and I became a regular in the side which later went 3 consecutive seasons without conceding a goal in the local league and cup games against other schools, and 9 of the squad ended up playing for the Barnsley Boys under 15 side. At one point I got offered a trial by Barnsley, but in the end they turned me down because they found out I wasn't Spanish.

not seen anything from elliott to impress me so far. i know we bought him to develop, but it still feels to me like he was part of the moncur deal. don't think moncur will start another game for us either.
I know it's only friendlies but there were some real glimpses of quality in Pre-Season from Elliot. Just watch our 2nd goal against P'Boro. Unfortunately he's not anywhere near match fit and the new rules have scuppered any chance of him getting decent game time.
