Just wanted to say, 1st time I've been to Upton Park and would advise fans - don't be put off by the DVDS! A cracking little ground and a nice atmosphere - although it may be different if we had won! for those reds that stayed home, we played some good football in parts but WHU were just too fit ant more experienced, at Oakwell we may have done them. be proud barnsley - the scoreline flattered them. Up the reds! And pleae admit ELMO - NOBLE DIVED!!!! Belllars came in for all the stick as we thought it was him but the footage showed it was Noble. Sorry Craig! 2-0 to the ref 1-0 to WHU! good luck ELMO in the net round.
Cheers mate, nice post.I like the way you Barnsley boys have accepted me invading your forum, taking it as it is,"BANTER".Yeah Upton Park is a great ground, but it can be a bit of a cauldron,if weve got issues with your team. And by the way,i gave Noble 5.8 for that dive, olympic 2012 material i say.Respect to you and your family mate, and "BE LUCKY".
We spent more than an hour before the game exploring the area and every West Ham fan we came across was welcoming and friendly - whether in the pub (can't remember the name of the one we went in on the main road but the drinks were cheap and the fans were mixed - Hammers and Reds together all showing our colours with no trouble whatsoever), betting shop, pie shop, etc. down to the people on the turnstyles, stewards, programme sellers, snack bar etc. inside the ground. We even stroked the police horses! The ground was nice too - that and Charlton are the best ones in London I've been to. Would go back there anytime and feel free to walk about before a match without any trouble but sadly don't think it will be for a while yet - unless we have a good run before the end of the season! As i said,as long as we hav'nt got issues with you,and we ain't with Barnsley, then we are very nice indeed. Now if you had been a fly on the wall and those Sheffield ***** had come in,then it would have been very different.
