To come to Barnsley. http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...earch?q=Emil+Halfredsson+to+Barnsley%3F&hl=en Good lad .
Very strong midfield in the squad, hopefully we can dominate a few games. 4 from Anderson, Colace, Hammill, Halfredsson, JCR, Butterfield, and Devaney. With Thompson who can play in the DM role too. Tough choices for SD. With that much quality to choose from we might even look good when we play with 5 across the middle.
Not a bad strike force either in Bogdanovic, Macken (who i always slate but keep's making me eat humble pie!), Hume and well .. OJ. With the youngster's to get a chance too and hopefully the Andy Gray deal to get sorted as soon as possible as i reckon he'll knock a few in. The Midfield is by far the strongest area like you say but the defence worries me. We only have - Hassell, Foster, Moore, Kozluk, Potter and Thompson really. Maybe El Haimour for back up, even though we've brought in Thompson do you reckon we should be looking at someone else to get in? I wouldn't mind getting a defender on loan just to add abit of depth and cover in to the squad.
Its a priority for me. We are fine as long as everybody is available. I suppose the loan market is an option but will it really be the quality needed, we have had a few decent loan signings over the years but we have had far more that don't work out. A LB would sort the problem. We would hopefully have the new LB in the team leaving Kozzy and Bobby to compete for RB. Potter is the cover at LB, but Kozzy can also, hopefully Potter will get a chance and take it like Butterfield seems to have and then there won't be much of a problem. Maybe SD really does think he is ready for 1st team? CB we have Moore, Foster and Thompson. Ideal world you want 4 but its not that much of a worry.
Right back we have; Hassell, Kozluk and even Foster if need's be. Centre back; Foster, Moore, Thompson and again even Hassell. Left back; Kozluk, Potter and El Haimour. So yeah maybe bringing in another LB would add more depth and sure thing's up a little more, SD stated in pre-season though he thought about signing the trialist LB up John Glele but it would 'interupt with Luke Potter's development, could look at him again further down the line'. So SD seem's to think Potter is more or less ready if Kozzie get's injured/suspension/loses form. Butterfield took his chance on Sat and let's hope Potter does too if he get's his chance and i presume he will.
