Emil Hallfredsson has decided against joining Barnsley? :O

"Meanwhile, Emil Halfredsson remain in amaranth He refused the choice of Barnsley who had found the agreement with the company, and for now remains at the court of Novellino, for the happiness of the fans who still remember the great goal of 2-1 against the momentary Juventus, a few months ago."

That's from todays news. Hope to god it isn't true and that he does join after the Iceland game.

Guess it's game of wait and see...

Definetely, are the player and agent getting pissed off we didn't conclude the deal last week as we seem to be waiting till after he play's for Iceland?

They could portray this as messing them about when it clearly isn't. Just making sure he picks up no injuries of any sort.

The agent was at Oakwell on Friday but not Hallfredsson himself, the deal was set to be done but just waiting for the player's signature.

How could we conclude it last week if he didn't come over to sign? I would say the Agent has agreed a deal in principle and is 'hawking' him around other English clubs.

only on barnsley-player so would need the password.

the interesting bit that davey said on it was something about him not signing until after the iceland game as he didn't want to pay
all that money if he went and got injured.

i thought it was a season loan but is it permanent??

On Barnsley Player Davey said "we are waiting until after the Iceland game as we don't fancy paying all that money if he goes and gets injured".
Also said that by next Saturday, we should have the 3 new players (Hammill, Thomson, Hallfredsson) and maybe one other. Also said we would play a full strength side at Lincoln.

I wonder if it is the same agent as Dominic Werling ....

Now - whatever happened to him? The agents should beware using Barnzli as a sort of code word for 'he's available.' When this backfires, you get the, "Blimey, if Barnzli didn't want him, we aren't having him either." Dangerous game, but lesson not learned. You just wonder, because we were being linked with that young Polish striker, yet no one at the club seemed to think it was happening and there have been others.

Now - where's Dom Werling gone? Oh! Turkish third division. Shame - he could have played for us against Liverpool and Chelsea and then he might have been a well-known player. As it is - even Huddersfield rejected him. Will the same happen to Halfredsson and will Iceland be the only place he is remembered, unless we give him a chance.

Well - he could try Norwich, I suppose!
