    Thought he was a really clever and tidy player, touch of class about him when he was on loan with us.

    I think if I remember the loan had a value attached to it if we made it permanent. Or wanted to.

    Was it 1.5 million or something. At the time we couldn't throw that about. But it was certainly a 7 figure sum

    I've been on about him to some of the lads at work who'd not heard of him. Looking at him you'd think he was a centre half, or even a rugby player or a boxer. But on the ball, down the left flank, he was incredibly talented.

    He's been linked with Juventus several times, but I get the feeling that time might have passed him by a little now.

    And that goal against Newcastle was the best goal from 2 yard out I've ever seen.
