Superb watch. terrific performance by the lass. loved her reaction and rapport with the crowd. one to watch!!
Can't be many more than those three and what a special list to add her name to. Genuinely think we've actually got one who's going to be world class for a change. So many over the years such as Robson, Watson, Keothavong, Boulter, Swan and many others who didn't live up to the media hype. This lass will. If as expected she faces Barty in the next round I think she will give her a close match.
annoying I couldn’t watch her but I’m already paying for Sky sports Bt sport and Eurosport. I’m not paying for Amazon sport as well
That explains why it was so hard to find the deciding set in Murray’s game the other day. Had no idea it was on Amazon Sport!
I'll stick with Freeview. Live semi-final of the Norwegian U18s Tiddlywinks Tournament. It was looking like an easy victory for the young lad from Oslo, but some excellent squopping by the current Trondheim number one has turned things around and put the game on a knife edge. Gripping stuff.
I have watched her (and Dan Evans) on Amazon and it's been better than watching at Wimbledon. Raducanu is special and then some more. Lovely power and movement and youthful joy. Next big British sporting thing. 16/1 to win - looking more hard faced at things. I've put me fiver on.
She also comes across as really nice, well-mannered and sticks around to give every single fan an autograph or selfie. I'm about to go to bed, but as it stands, world number one and hot favourite, Ash Barty is a set down in her match to Shelby Rogers. The winner to play Emma next. Your fiver might be well spent.
And that's called competition! I maintain that they should all show the same thing and compete on other things such as price and their commentary/coverage.
Especially as Rogers won. Obviously that’s still a hard match for Emma but must be a better chance than playing Barty
She would have been better playing Barty and probably would have preferred it as well. Playing the best in the world she would have had no pressure and had the chance to play in prime time on a big show court. Now she's got more pressure as she's facing someone she will be expected to beat and it will likely be on earlier in the day (better for us) on a smaller court again.
