About to go out to a restaurant, so can't write at length, but was so impressed with our overall play today. We dominated so much of the game, and Charlton had little to offer. Craig Davies was quite a handful - he's come on a lot since last season, and David Perkins put in a top rate performance, he was everywhere -my man of the match, supported in a similar way by the energetic Stephen Dawson. Keith Hill & Flicker really have got this team working to a pattern, and there were no weak links today. On this showing, I'm surprised we're not so much further up the table. Finally, the support was tremendous from start to finish; it must have lifted the players. Coming upto Barnsley tomorrow for 4 days, and looking forward to a win against Palace on Tuesday and a pint in The Miners!
We would be top six with just a few more goals and half decent refs mate. But we are and always will be lil ol Bransley
David Perkins has picked up a new nickname On the Charlton fans' forum. As well as saying he was the best player on the pitch, they've been calling him 'Barnsley Boris'!
Re: David Perkins has picked up a new nickname Quite a few opposition fans pick out Perkins it seems. Just saying.
Re: David Perkins has picked up a new nickname He's not indespensible, nor is he the complete midfielder - he wouldn't be here if he was, but imho a lot of his work in breaking up the opposition's play before it gets started gets missed. Rather have him in our team than against us.
Re: David Perkins has picked up a new nickname He is the twelfth man because he does the work of 2 in my opinion and I call him Duracell Man because he`s still going when all the others are blowing out of their arse. He`s a spoiler and very good he is at it too.
Re: David Perkins has picked up a new nickname Yet again another setof fans saying its thier worse performance of season. credit to hillcroft
Re: David Perkins has picked up a new nickname He's utter s**t....I know that because someone who posts on this board regularly keeps telling us.
