Simon Davey: "It has been a help having the break because everyone is now fit again and ready to play.

"The players have had a few days off, so any knocks and tiredness will be gone and we are just a day away from the match.

"Training sessions are better with so many back fit and wanting to get into the team.

"The new lads have had a good period of time to settle in to our way of playing. We have got fresh options with the likes of Andranik, Mifsud and Hammill as well as Bogdanovic. Then there is Foster and Colace back so we could see five or six different players from the last game against Bristol City.

"We may have three debuts at Hillsborough. Patrick's been fantastic with me. He has always supported me when I want a player and I can't thank him enough.

"Although other teams have played we have not gone into the relegation zone and have two and three games in hand. It is going to be a big month for us. Our mentalitty is that we have to win every game. I am still confident we will finish high than last season and more points than last season.

"We have to capitalise on possession and put our chances away. As a player you want to play in big derbys. This is a big game for us, we can look at getting the double over Sheffield Wednesday.

"All games are big games, but when you look at the table it is probably more important to us to get the three points.

"We have to make sure we perform to our best. Tudgay is very creative, Johnson is very quick and they have good set of players that can grind out results but form guides go out the window when it is a derby.

"I like Brian Laws. He is a good friend. He has had sticky spells and now he is a very good manager for Wednesday.

"Iain Hume has had his scan and it will be two to three month before it is healed properly, but he can step up his training. It will be a mental thing too, whether he will be ready to get into a real training session.

    I thought that.

We should be using these players to change the negative performances and tempo not asking them to fit into our shot shy style.
