i said in another thread if we were offered 60pts and mid table obscurity now i would be well pleased and looked forward to building on it 4 next season, what do others think ?
It depends on how much scope Hillcroft get in January window in a tight league whoever shows ambition can reach the play offs.
Re: No expectations To continue as we have been, and see where it takes us. January could be a crucial month obviously, as Keith will possibly lose a couple. But, conversely, he will have his 1st chance to add to the squad permanently. I challenge anybody to say we havent progressed/improved since he took over
Re: Expectations........from 3rd to 8th would be great Im personally very excited to see who he brings in come January. I think were on course for a safe mid-table position, which i for one will be more than happy with.
60pts will do for me, and I can easily see us doing that. Got to be happy with that, coupled with the greater entertainment we are seeing.
- 60 pts - 2 strikers in double figures for their goals tally - Less goals conceded than last year - Possibly only losing one player in January - Our better players signed up to much better contracts and the "2 year" contract reviewed - Don to spend a little more of the Championship revenue we receive. And l'll be happy.
Re: No expectations I'd love it if, after just scraping in to the playoffs having played Barca-esque football all season, Keith strides in to the middle of the pitch like Russell Crowe in Gladiator, throws his cream scarf at the Ponty, spreads his arms wide, and screams with contempt at the fans, "Are you not entertained!", and then nonchalently strides off up the tunnel.
