Poor decision to bat first? Not watching so can't say.

Even I know that's not very good. Will Swanny save the day? Whoever she is. :)

I'm not so sure, I reckon whoever won the toss was going to bat first.

Sunny day, right decision to bat first (Clarke said he'd bat first too).

KP could have played it a bit better but was new to the crease. Cook got a good ball that swung back and seamed a bit to be lbw and Root got a dubious lbw that may have hit bat first, may have hit leg.

Just need to get in, let the ball go soft and still have enough to get to 400 if Trott, Bell and Bairstow bat properly

Can't they just make their bat thingys a bit wider so it would be harder to chuck the ball at the sticks they're stood in front of?

Soz ponty I think it's years working as a sky pundit I just tend to forget that I know longer have to be so in-depth when trying to explain the problems the England team sometimes have

Apparently only Sri Lankans are allowed to chuck the ball at the stick thingies; everybody else has to "bowl" it.

He doesn't chuck it, he has a straight arm, he just bowls sideways arm. Been looked at and approved. He bowls.
