Hardly. Both teams are trying things out.
Adam lallana, Kyle walker, Tom Cleverley, Chris smailling and Andros Townsend

Non of them are exactley first choice certs for england.

Wouldn't call it our first team, but it's - on paper - a lot stronger than theirs.

Gotze would walk into our first team, though. He'll struggle to make their world cup squad.

I'm glad they're going easy on us.

We've got to level the playing field somehow, anyhow.

Sad to say, that's about the best we've got. Apart from Cleverly, no idea what he's done to get called up. I'm available for selection, Roy.

An aging Cole over Lahm? Nope.

Wilshere over Ozil? Schweinsteiger? Khedira? Gotzé even? Nope.

Rooney would be in there. That's about it.

No but if he said no then it's hardly a surprise is it? No

They are biging there team up.
Most countries do it, in England we prefer to to have a pop at our football team and Rugby team for some reasons.

Hardly our first team, Cleverley..... Come on.

When we played our 2nd team we were allegedly **** when we lost. Friendlies mean nothing at all. Just like it means nothing when the Reds scrape a win against Matlock or whoever in pre season.

A bit like how a new signing would big up his new club and city?

Its hardly JW for Ozil is it. Jack plays deeper than him. They play one of there set of benders in Midfield.
Lahms been playing right back for the national team i think.
Khedira? really? Real madrid are on Sky most weeks and i watch them most weeks because of that and hes hardly good. Very limited. Took stick over there.

More I think about it, this probably isn't far off being our first choice XI.

Hart, Walker, Jagielka, Cole, Cleverley, Gerrard, Townsend, Rooney, Sturridge.

Lallana and Smalling being the fringe players. Cahill and Welbeck in their places, and it's pretty much full strength innit?

Hodgson has used Cleverley a lot. Dunno why, but he has. He's certainly not a fringe player.

In a real big game he would go Jones in midfield which works very well for Manchester United and England.
    Walcott would be in.
Welbeck would be in or he would move one of the strikers to the left wing. wilshere in for Cleverley.
    Walker out johnson in.
