    I've heard that they might have to close the roof, drain the pitch then play it tomorrow. If the stadium has a retractable roof, why on earth wasn't it closed earlier? It's not like rain comes without warning these days.

    presumably as playing on a quagmire usually evens things up for the weaker side. either that or the poles are good swimmers.

    Poland would be given a points deduction if it was up to me for making no attempt to clear the pitch and ensure they provide a stadium fit to hold a football match.

    Totally separate but I suppose you could argue that they hold the upper hand as they have the power, in theory, to suspend their national teams from the WC.
