Gibbs is 24, so by the time Baines retires from England, he will be 30. Hardly long term is it? Welcome to international football Hemsworth tyke!!
When you are in your 40's hemmsy, will you A) still be singing the praises of players in our own age group or B) will you be advocating the latest batch of u21's? Not quite clear where you are with this, but if it's option A, your arguments are going to have to be bloody good to claim that Danny Rose should still be an oakwell regular at 44
Not sure what your saying Roth Red. It nothing to do with any of our youth players. Baines 28 29 in December. Hardly long term And my opinion would be give Bertrand ago. Really like him. Not seen enough of Shaw TBH
What I'm driving at hemmsy is that it doesnt matter whether we are talking about England or Barnsley, you persistently push the virtues of the younger players. Will you back that generation of footballers all the through their careers, or will you move onto the next batch of young players as they come through in a year or twos time?
I always like to see young sportsmen playing RothRed. If there good players they are good players but i think it's important young people get chances in anything.
How will you feel about that when you are 40? I have a feeling you will have a diffent perspective on it then
I hope I always want young players into the team. In the cricket in someways i hope Priors injured so Bairstow plays on wednesday night. But i also like to see the good crickets footballers rugby players like Cook and KP Ronney ..... Or with barnsley McCourt Perkins Cranie ....
