Can't believe all fuss. When the other well known generic satelitte channel show the games it is ok. Not everyone has Sky, some of us have Virgin so benefit. There isn't a problem for me. I still go to pub anyway which most do

I have Virgin also, but what i don't get is Setanta don't allow BBC to show Highlights of the game, but yet they show highlights of the Home games, just don't seem right to me.

It's nothing to do with not allowing them

The BBC have to pay for them like everyone else and they haven't stumped up the money.

To be fair, National Television, should not have to pay to show the National Country play.

    That's definitely one argument

But why should the FA allow one TV company to show their matches for free when they can get £millions from a different TV company if they show the match? The FA is a commercial concern that has massive overheads and needs to make money. A very good source of income is to sell the rights to the England matches. In order to do what you're suggesting the England football team would need to be nationalised.

Are we going to reherse the same arguments before/during/after every England away game?

Sentanta have the rights. They bought them fair and square. They're hoping that this will get more people to subscribe. It is the samestrategy that Sky used successfully before.
