England - Player ratings

Doubltess there will be many different opinons but my player ratings for the tournament as follows

Hart - 7 - Not at fault for any goals but did have a few shaky moments best keeper we have had for a while though
Johnson - 6 Did better than I expeced - good going forwards and made some crucial interceptions and tackles at the back - positional sense still not great though
Terry - 7 cant stand the guy but he definitely justified his selection didnt have a bad game
Lescott - 7 Considering he was dropped in with little preparation I thought he coped well again no poor performances
Cole - 8 For me our best defender didnt do much wrong (until the pen at the very end )
Milner - 5 gave the ball away too much and most of his crosses were poor - tracked back well though but I wouldnt have him in the side
Gerrard - 9 - finally produced for England the form he is capable of our player of the tournament
Parker - 7 Thought he did well breaking up play and being a pain to the opposition - distribution a bit disappointing at times
Young - 4 Poor - 4 poor games in a row hard to think of much positive to say - big disappointment as I expected him to be a key player
Wellbeck - 6 Did OK - still not really sure he is international class but did better than his more highly rated Man U team mates
Rooney - 4 very poor - big disappointment from our "star" player - nearly gave him a 3 but for his goal against Ukraine
Carrol - 7 I thought he was our best striker -great goal against Sweden and generally looked a proper centre forward - should have started instead of Rooney yesterday
Wallcott - 7 game changer when he came on against sweden - anonymous in the other games
Ox - 6 definitely looks like one for the future - should have started instead of an out of form Young yesterday

Thought as a team we did as well as we could have hoped but shown up against Italy and forunate to go out on pens - the Germans would have murdered us
