3 Hart - cost 3 points, so gets a Three 4 Johnson - Quite a good game for a crap player 3 Jagielka - comedy defending when Johnson saved a goal 3 Lescott - also at fault for goal and loss of 3 points 4 Cole - best days are behind him, bird-wise and football-wise 5 Milner - good game for such a limited player. Nearly as ugly as their worst offenders 2 Carrick - strolls through games, no pace, passes to Poland mainly 3 Gerrard - misplaced as many passes as he made 5 Cleverley - worked hard but created nowt 1 Rooney - first touch as bad as Jimmy Saviles 2 Defoe - glaring miss and did nowt I wouldn't have Roy Hodgson's job for all the tripe in Grimethorpe. HTH
Thought Carrick played really well Assuming he was playing hide 'n' seek. Didn't see hide nor hair of him for the vast majority of the game.
Re: Thought Carrick played really well He only came out of his hidey-hole sporadically to give the ball back to them. I was thinking on the hour mark, "I wish this would hurry up and end". I never used to think about England like that. Maybe I'm getting old & jaded but I really don't give a monkeys chuff whether they qualify for Brazil or not. A little bit of me would like them not to, to finish of the careers of the "golden generation" in ignomy, maybe Lampard excepted hasn't done much wrong for me. Not really bothered tho, either way. Reds different matter. Still RABID.
Re: Thought Carrick played really well Still always watch the England games, but I haven't got the same passion for it as I have for Barnsley. When you watch Barnsley you don't always expect us to be great. There are 40 other clubs in this country that can afford better players than us, we're not going to be world beaters. But when you watch England it's supposedly the best we've got and it's still bloody rubbish. We should be a lot better than that. Our little club from a small provincial town is playing better football than our country. It shouldn't be like that.
