I personally wasn't very impressed by englands preformance at all last night, david beckham imparticular, yes without his we wouldn't have scorred two of the goals, as soon as he got back in to the side the whole game started to revolve around his crosses again, as clinical as they may be it will be easy enought for any decent opposition to play him out of the game and then were are we left?

We need to start giving the likes of gerrard and lamps the chance to push forward and be the ones creating chances, how can everyone expect lampard to reproduce his club form when he doesn't have the same free role or as much of the possesion as he gets for chelsea.

Also watching the after match reveiw i could not belive how far back bam was dropping and the number of times he gave away possetion by playing long balls into nowere.

Though was relieved McClaren came to his senses and chose wes brown at right back rather than the speculated keron dyer.

Is not condusive to playing fast free flowing football, results matter. a team set up to stop Beckham playing should be easy to pick off in other areas, dont forget we didnt have a full compliment to choose from, Rooney, Hargreaves, Neville, A Cole Rio and Lennon will make a difference.

    Wes Brown was pants!

Beckham created 2 goals while limping around with a bad ankle! What the hell more could the guy do?

not saying wes brown was any good just saying i'm glad McClaren desided to use a defender at right back rather than an attacking midfielder, you would hope beckham could create a few goals against a lowly side seen as how all the attacks were played through him

Wes Brown IS pants - fullstop.

How the guy is an England international is beyond me! If there are no better right backs than him around we are in trouble.
