Scott Carson included in the lastest squad - hardly one to inspire confidence. Has already proven he is not up to it at international level. Stockdake in there too. Surely it's time for Steele to get called up if only for the experience of being around the squad?

I agree 100%. Unfortunately he won't get near the squad while he's playing for us. You know that, I know that and Luke himself probably does too.
Scott bloody Carson? It's a joke.

Knowing that nobody of influence knows either Barnsley or Steele exist it doesn't surprise me he has been overlooked again. No wonder I can't stand England, the players, the management, etc.

    Its another s h i t squad.
Carson, Stockdale, G.Johnson, Barry and Milner have done **** all worthy in an England shirt. Hardly pulling up trees at club level either tbh.
I honestly believe that Spain could play Torres in goal and Casillas up front and STILL beat us with ease.

Agreed. I get less and less interested in England as the years go by. I used to buy the games on pay-per-view but now I can hardly be bothered to watch it for free on the internet. I might summon up a little enthusiasm by the time the Euros come round. But then again.............

James Milner is currently the best English midfielder by a mile. Steele's time is coming, though how anyone can take that clown at Watford seriously is beyond me. Luke has to leave us soon if he's to develop right, he can have his pick of half the premiership n'all, way things are with goalies. Good luck to him, this is his last season with us I reckon.

From a selfish point of view I'm glad Luke as been overlooked cos the minute he gets called up then we would definitely lose him and we would find it impossible to replace him.

Like others have said, I'm glad in a way Luke's not had the call because that would increase his profile more and would probably mean our losing him in Jan. Which would probably mean David Preece and relegation. But good blogging and twittering.

Steele over the last six games has let in 12 goals and kept one clean sheet for a team near the relegation zone of the second tier of English football.

Carson has in his last five matches let in only four goals and kept a clean sheet in his last two matches in an high pressure league that's got crazy intimidating crowds.......

Fair enough, however before the last squad was announced, Steele had conceeded the 2nd least amount of goals in the championship, 8. Stockdale had conceeded the most, he'd conceeded almost the same as Steele had all season, in one game. Yet he constantly gets an England call up, why?

Steele will not get picked to play for England, ever.
