If Davey ever were to depart Oakwell, heaven forbid we should consider Stuart Pearce. That mess-up last night was entirely down to inept management. At 3-0 he took off the captain and controller of midfield, Noble. With Agbonlahor already on a card, so out of the final, he elected to bring on Fraizer Campbell, who got himself booked then sent off and is also out of the final, leaving only Theo Walcott as a bona fide striker. The commentators made the same point when the substitution was being made. The result - with 23 minutes left and England 3-0 up, the midfield was lost, the side seemed set up to rely on break-aways - allowing Sweden to come at us, there was no forward option with only one remaining striker. One of the most inept management performances I have seen for a good while.

So we will be playing Germany for a penalty shoot-out, I presume!!!

sorry but with the game as as it was sp shouldn't have took gabby off. if he wont to bring fc on he should have took james m off or one of the other cms but not nobble and put jm in to cm. with walcott and gabby and fc in the middle england would have had them on the counter. also i think it was risky that he kept richards on. not happy sp you lost me my bet.

Yes, agree, the second half was a disaster regarding tactics. Players were running around like headless chickens. No marking, no defense, no idea.

We had players on the pitch that could have won by 5 or 6 goals but unfortunately they need a new Manager.

was hes just signed a new 2 year contract. why is there only 2 strikers in the team. also out of the 2 only one can play as a target man. eng have too many cms and wingers too. also a note from yesterday a win does not mean it was a good performance and a loss does not mean a bad performance. i noticed this at the well and away from it too that when barnsley lost it was put down as a bad performance when sometimes it was not it was a loss but the lads played well

    RE: PEARCE OUT!!

Yes but you've got to consider that apparently he's not up to the standards rquired down at Oakwell.
