Just got back from Headingley and what an utter shambles England are. The game won't last 3 days so anyone with tickets for days 4 and 5 must be very pissed off! Saw Marcus North make a very good century and the Aussies were so much better in every department. Hilfenhaus alomst had a ht-trick but surely Ravi Bopara has to be dropped for the final test match, his confidence has completely gone.

Listening to Talk Sport on the way back last night they said Ravi should bat at six with Bell, Collingwood and Prior above him.

Never mind people with Day 4 and 5 tickets. I've got day 3 tickets and i'm pissed off!

I can't see me being there for much longer than an hour. Still, you never know... Broad, Prior and Swann may make it to lunch.

When I go to tests I always make sure it's day one but there's no way it should have been over in three days after tomorrow.

Yes, very pissed off. Could have been a very good day to go to but England had other ideas. You put your money in months in advance to support the boys and then they do that, luckily we'll get full refunds but that's not the point. Pile of *****. /poo

You don't get a choice of days mate

Get what you are given because the demand was so high.

Ditto. I just hope that they finish the job properly tomorrow so I don;t have to trail up to Leeds for the last rites on Monday. Probably a full refund but I don't get the day's holiday I've wasted back, nor the train fare. Useless tossers. And all the momentum's gone to the Aussies now so it's going to be so hard to lift it for The Oval.

RE: You don't get a choice of days mate

I did mate. My cousin became a Yorkshire member for 12 months to guarantee upto four per tickets for every day so we took day one and I got him to sort Silkstone Red out with four for day two.

Yeah I hope we lose tomorrow. Even if it goes into the 4th day, very unlikely, we probably wouldn't have gone for an hour or so. My Dad might as well go in to work and earn some rather than waste £10 each on trains.

No chance for the Oval. Can't see how we could recover from this and I think Aus will probably win 2-1 now. Our confidence must be rock bottom at the minute.

    Ahh fair enough

I've got membership at Yorkshire too but I got it after most of tickets were distributed. We just got given Monday tickets, I thought we were the lucky ones to get a ticket too, how wrong I was.

Shame that mate. I'd been ill all this week in bed and was more worried about wasting a 50 quid ticket ha. Not much at Headingley next year with the Bangladesh test and Pakistan one day international. Hopefully a Pakistan/Australia test will head our way.

In 1981 Saturday afternoon as Dilley strode to the wicket

I was starting to plan my journey home - at tea the odds on an England victory were 500-1

The rest as they say is history. - It couldnt happen twice could it. Prior and Broad to both get 100's Harmison to take 8 for 40 in the Aussie second innings.....

This wine I am drinking is really quite nice

    The trouble with that is...

even if Broad and Prior hit centuries, which is highly unlikely, we'll still not have a lead, so Swann has to hit a big score too. Its just not gonna happen.</p>

I just hope they do play for some pride and manage to get through to at least tea. A couple of 50's for either Prior, Swann or Broad and i'll go home miserable in defeat, but pleased i haven't wasted all that money for the sake of an hours cricket.
