    Can someone tell me why, when we're already qualified, and playing Malta, we're starting with players like Maguire, Henderson, Kane, Rashford? Why not play Konsa, Lewis, Palmer, Watkins etc? People moan about players not having experience in the big tournaments but how are they going to get experience when they're still not picked in a meaningless game? It's the perfect opportunity for them - not to mention it will take pressure off players who are making their debuts

    I don't understand why we're not given talented young & hungry players a chance in a meaningless game, what is the point?

    We need to top the group to be seeded next summer and that's not yet been confirmed.

    Had a look at the stats, respect to anyone watching another typical England match when there is plenty of better things to do.

    So there's slight, slight pressure to win Malta & Macedonia, even more reason to play the less experienced players in case we need them in the actual tournament later down the line. We need to beat the big teams regardless of seeded positions.

    I thought we were crab against Horsham in the first game of the cup, but this England performance is shocking! England should be turning teams like Malta over especially with all the attacking quality there is for England, but as long as Southgate is there we will never see attacking football he’s too defensive for my liking

    It’s like watching Barnsley all over again plenty of possession just doing nothing with it. Plus we should of had pen and didn’t get it :)

    Absolutely shocking performance some of those England players wouldn't even get in the Scotland team they're so poor :D:D:D:D. The midfield should be demanding the ball of the defence and passing it forward not just letting Maguire and co piss about with it amongst themselves
