Some decent play from two committed teams. Pity now that we have already dropped six points next season.
I think Coventry will be strong next season, and it's going to be tough at the top of league one. Luton could do ok as well. Fully expect Sunderland to walk the league if they get off to a decent start, and Portsmouth are a club on the way back as well. Scunthorpe have been up there for last 3 seasons and Bradford are due another tilt at the playoffs. I think we'll be up there but it's going to competitive.
I still think its hard to say.. Cov had one or two decent players, so it depends if they can keep hold of em. A player who scores 28 goals, someone is surly going to want... Sunderland have been a shambles of a club, and everyone's cup final next season . So it may take em longer than 1 season to turn it around. I think Luton are on the up... As for us we don't know who the coach is going to be, and which players he will keep.. plus if we are to be anywhere near the top, we'll need to defend a hell of a lot better than we have.. so a coach that can organise and inspire for starters..
Was a much better match than the other two playoffs entertainment-wise. I'm not convinced Coventry will be that much of a threat. Why couldn't they finish in the top 3, if so? Not saying next season will be a cake walk either, but the fact that the 3 relegated teams from the season before went back up illustrates the gulf in divisions.
Because they might have been like us when we walked the playoffs and saved their best for last. They seem to be getting sorted out with their owners and their crowds are coming back. I don't like them because they always beat us, but they are a biggish club and I can see them spending a little bit more than most on strengthening for next season.
Not according to commentary today, but their crowds are well up and they took a lot to Wembley today, so I would say as long as their doing OK differences will be put on the back burner.
Whilst ever the club's divided, then progress will be difficult there. They've done well to win promotion, but until their internal issues are resolved, the club will struggle to progress. The 2017/18 could be a turning point for them, though.
