The first half we were the better team. The team were able to recycle the ball over and over to put Forest under pressure but couldn't get that goal.

Second half Forest got into the game and started to control things towards the middle of the half. They thought they scored and so quickly after that Hourihane put one over the goalkeeper.

So to Blackpool now. Maybe rest 2/3 in that game too?

Is putting one over their keeper your way of saying a goal of the season contender?

    Not a dig just asking.

    Accurate if short assessment.

Standout players for me were Williams and Scowen, never stopped running and hassling and showed some quality touches too. Great effort from everyone though, superb 3 points.

Thought defence was solid , and that we was the better team . Great strike from Connor and a strike worthy to win every game

I think the game was eventually won by the positive substitution made by Hecky to bring in Armstrong for Williams in the final 10. I imagine that Williams was tiring and the option to bring on another striker rather than try and play for a point was bold but ultimately effective even if Forest did have a goal ruled out inbetween.

It's a good opportunity next Saturday ro rest a couple of players who might have played a lot of games.

The problem is with the size of our squad I'm struggling to decide who. Maybe Winnall and Kent could use a rest. As too probably could the full backs if we had adequate cover.

Obviously it's a good 5 days away which means that we could have a couple of bodies in by then.

    Great result. Onwards and upwards.

While it could be tempting to rest 2 or 3 after the busy festive period, personally i would go with as strong of a team as possible to try and get to the next round.

5 days to the next game and a full week to fulham away, plenty of time to rest

glad you enjoyed it mate. these are amazing times and an absolute stunner of a strike from conor. statistically the best midfielder in the championship right now. we're blessed to have him.

Looking at the starting lineup I thought negative but saw we had Hammill and Kent on wing, with Williams behind Bradshaw.Obviously Hecky and team team did the homework and know we'd be best in midfield hench result.. Any team should know Hourihane in plenty of space will score..

I was impressed Williams yesterday. He kept going really well. Every time he went down there was comments from the stands of oh no.

Been honest I don't think Kent or hamnill had good games.

    Good assessment by all accounts!

And look at how much more receptive people are to your views without unnecessary digs a certain players! You might be able to stimulate some interesting debates about the club now...

Kent looked tired , gave the ball away every time . Probably needed a rest more than others
