Winnall looked a different player having someone to link up with. Some of the touches between him harris and watkins were decent. Created openings.

Still alot of tip tappy between the back three but where possible they looked to get it quicker and it worked.

Johnson looked a bit silly after the hoirihane cant play in a midfield two... pick of the midfielders.

Defence in the first half was a bit of a worry. Left winger tore new arseholes everytime he got the ball and we struggled to get to grips with hanson. Only roberts managed this with some degree of success. Gave back three a torrid time. Game changed when they took him off. Devante doesnt like it up him. Other striker was also dominated. Allowed us to counter quicker.

Goal was soft. No one closing down second ball around edge of the box. Bradford had three or foir other opportunities to score like this in first half.

Set pieces were decent none of this quick five yard pass. Straight int mixer. ..

And if tinpot starts Saturday instead of davies id be suprised.

Man of the match for me was winnall. Didnt get a real look on at goal. But second half when he replaced harris at tje tip of tje midfield ran his self ragged. Organised told white and watkins where to run etc. Lead by example.

Good read, thanks. Maybe Winnall has a future in our battalion of midfield players. If he can't do it as a traditional centre forward maybe there is a role for him "in just behind" as the cliche goes. I would play him in goal if there was nowhere else for him - he is a must pick player for me, along with a few others.

We can say it was "only the JPT" but a win at Valley Parade does not come round that often so I will take that any day of the week.

    Wish I had gone now!

Marshall (the left winger) ran rings around us at Port Vale. Holgate and Cranie couldn't deal with Hanson at all in April.

Overall it was a solid performance. Never looked like conceding in the 2nd half which was mainly down to Marc Roberts. Attacking wise we had less shots and chances than against Crewe but were far more clinical. When Hourihane gets his deliveries spot on it makes a huge difference. Wabara had a poor game but he's done well overall so we'll let him off.

I'd definitely stick with the 3-5-2. As Parkinson said it makes us a much bigger threat from set pieces and we perform better with 2 up top.

Presumably if we played 3-5-2, he wasn't playing in a midfield 2 ?

Harris was almost a third striker he was pushed up that far at times.
