Yeah we lost but we missed a couple of sitters which could have earned us a point. Yes we need to be more clinical, which I think that must mean additional players in the medium term, but I am encouraged that we got behind Cardiff's defence and created chances. At least we were there to miss 'em! Most encouraging of all was that I saw an enthralling, passionate match with no shortage of skill from both sides. We've won lots of games in the league below and yet in the main they were comparatively meritless as a spectacle, just points in the bag. Wherever we finish this season, I'll be making 30+ games and if I see 10 games of that calibre that I'll be very happy. It was a joy to watch today and a blesséd relief to see proper football return to the 'Well. It's going to be tough this season but it's going to be fun so let's get behind 'em and enjoy it.
