Enter Button not working on Msn Messenger to send

When i am using msn messenger and i am trying to send a msg its not allowing me to press enter to send, anyone no how to make it work again?

 

uninstall and reinstall?

I had the same problem once, can't remember how I sorted it though sorry.

Which version of msn are you running? (in msn go to "help > about messenger")
And have you got it patched to take the adverts away and things?

 

i have msn plus but i have it for ages, and when i mean ages i mean as in about a year.

the versian i am using is verison 2008 (build 8.5.1302.1018)

 

you've got the latest version then or at least the latest stable version.

I'd uninstall it then reinstall it just to make sure its 'clean' and then run mess patch (patch.mess.be) to customise it to how you like it, for example mine shows the very basics now. Above the contacts list I see only a link to my email, add contact button and sign out button, nothing else at all. Below the contact list is nothing.

You can choose options like being able to run two msn's at once (useful if you have two accounts, get rid of the send button completly, remove all ads, get shut of the paid for parts of msn like the download emoticons bit and paid for winks, erm remove the bit that says about not giving out personal information whenever you start a convo and so on.

You just have to run it once to make the changes and then install msn plus and jobs a good un. Erm if you want to

 

yer i had that patch before, probably the best patch out there. i have uninstalled and reinstalled and is now working fine, think i am going to download the patch though, cheers for reminding me
