If we need to at all, after a quiet summer we seem to have brought together a decent bunch of young lads (Danny,s Boys) towards the start of the season and some of them look to be too good for the teams we've played so far lets hope this continues to be the case . After Saturdays game, if we where to change a winning team, this is the team i'd go with away at Yeovil. which leaves this lot as cover and the like of Smith, Nana, Oates, Maris, & Dibble, as cover for the cover. Looking at that do we really need to be bringing anyone in ? i'd be tempted to have another go at singing, Gary Mackay-Steven, if funds allow it. and maybe loan Ryan McLaughlin for the season, because these two have been on the radar and would improve the right hand side no end, but if we can't get them two, i'd not bother and just use the loan market to cover injuries if needed. After 3/4 seasons of hoping we get relegated, so we could be given the opportunity to start and compete at the right end of the table, against clubs with the same resources as us it finally happened last season, throughout the summer I honestly thought we'd struggle to stay in this division too, with the lack of transfer activity and the massive clear-out we undertook, I started to think maybe I'd been a tad too optimistic about the chances of the club competing at this level as well. But after watching our first four league games it looks to me that I was 100% right in wanting the club to take a step backwards to breed some new life back into the place, because that's exactly what's happened, wile I know it's only early days and we've not exactly started like a house on fire, the signs that this cloud be a fantastic season are starting to show, some of these young lads Danny as brought together look to be way too good for the teams we've come up against so far, and we're trying to play attacking passing football with pace and power not worrying about the opposition and defending a point away and a one goal lead at home, to me it's already been worth it to drop a league to see the club rebuild in this way and have a positive goal difference after 4 games, but the best thing about the rebuild is seeing the smiles on peoples faces walking out of the stadium after games, and hearing the optimism in people's voices in the boozer before hand, it's like we've got our club back at last, long may it continue.
A cracking post which sums up mine, and I'd think the majority of fans feelings. We'd have a million and one team combinations if we all picked our own, that's natural. On my viewing I'd play Lita from the start every time, just having his name on the team sheet must unnerve most L1 defences even before kick off. Will Turnbull get straight back in?? Harsh on Davies? We'll see. Onwards and upwards
Danny said in his interview he's trying to do something this wk. maybe a couple in? I'd say a right back and we'll be fine. Would love McLaughlin back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He was top draw Saturday Abbott, so he'd keep his place for me, knowing he's got Bailey snapping at his heels for his place back. but our difference in opinion is my main point, we've got a squad at long last.

Doing a deal for Dudgeon should be the priority, whether it be permanently or a long-term loan. Besides that, a full-back like McLaughlin would be a good addition. Can also play wide midfield if needed. Not really sure we need anything else.
Good post but I've got to disagree with some points. Like it's been mentioned, I don't think Lita will be a bench player especially seeing as Cole looks like he can be an excellent impact player coming off the bench. Also, even though I suspect Abbott will play against Yeovil I would've thought Bailey will come back in once he's fit again. And McHale isn't a left back, he's a winger. Your post does show the cover we have and I definitely believe we have a much better squad and more exciting squad than last season. I think in an ideal world I'd want a fullback who can provide cover for both sides but that's probably unlikely.
Abbott did play well but on what I've seen of bailey he's head and shoulders above him, but yeah the main topic is that we do have good cover, only downside is the lack of experience in some departments.
Squad rotation will be massive this season, with paint pot and first round of fa cup, most stadiums having ***** pitches without heating or covers, so come start of next year when games get called off well be playing twice a week so keeping everyone fit fresh and happy and match sharp will be key to how our season pans out.
I think the squads fine as it is. We've got good cover for every position. GK: Turnbull, Davies, Dibble RB: Brown, Bree CB: Cranie, Nyatanga, M'Voto Cowgill LB: Dudgeon, Smith CM: Bailey, Hourihane, Abbott, Digby Berry Wingers: Treacy, Jennings, RNL, McHale Forwards: Winnall, Cole, Lita, Hemmings, Nana, Maris Several of them can play various positions as well so I'm content. As things are a lot of our young lads are first reserves which is what I want to see. In the past you'd need an injury crisis before the likes of Rose, Digby & RNL were played. Only business I'd look to do if possible is extend the loans of Dudgeon & Cole
The first squad I made is not my choice of our first team, it's the team I'd play at Yeovil on Saturday, I agree with lita and bailey being first team players but I'd keep them all on their toes and happy, by switching it about and rewarding players with starts for scoring and playing well, so after their movement and goals on Saturday Cole and Jennings would start for me. Hemmings and Lita would start against York on Tuesday with the chance of getting a start in the Donny game
Darren Moore just appointed WBAs development coach, if we could bag an experienced player of his ilk and stature I'd be well happy.
