He'd be too expensive for us.

I was thinking much the same.

Also Roberts looked sharp and must have put a dozen crosses in and the right back had a great game, defended soundly and got forward well.

If only we had a team performance worthy of the fans yeaterday.

Tendayi Darikwa at right back. Would be the best of their bunch if we could sign any. Great in defence, rapid, good support down the wing. I did enjoy watching Roberts though. Got a bit of Paddy about him. Only a bit, mind. Doyle will be on Championship clubs' radar for January I imagine.

    Ritchie ******* Humphreys though.

    I said "I thought he'd retired"

Dyson: "I thought he wa dead.."

Thats the chap. I was going to have a go at spelling his name without looking it up. Sound game.

Just been talking to my cousin`s husband who is a Spirite, he reckons that Tendayi Darikwa is the best fullback outside of the Prem, he also said that he didnt think he was that good yesterday. He reckons that Wilson had a plan to keep him quiet , by hitting the ball behind him, because Darikwa is suspect against someone turning him. It didnt really seem that way to me listening to Radio Sheffield, well after the first 15 mins or so.

Re: I was thinking much the same.

We got him booked early in the second half, and the lad playing ahead of him on that side. Then refused to attack them with Cole anywhere near enough. As for our own right back, considering folk were spunnking over him last week, he wasn't at the races all afternoon. Never got out of our half, didn't offer us anything going forward.

Our lack of width can often be too apparent. Yesterday, our midfielders/forwards were tripping up over each other such was the narrow nature of the system we played. If we're playing this diamond thing, we need full backs bombing on. Dudge provided that yesterday, as usual. But in the last two away games we've had practically no right hand side. It's proper infuriating to watch. I'm sure there's a long term plan here, with Danny, but I'd have liked to have seen a 4-4-2 yesterday. But whether it's a choice or an enforced thing, we do have a few laikers crowbarred into this system and it isn't helpful at times. Hoping Danny can shift things around a bit in January. That Darikwa must be a possible recruit? They're skint and we're a definite step up for him.

Oh, thank God for that, Andy! I was beginning to think you'd forgotten all about your regular tirades against Cranie. Good to see, despite your protestations, it remains just below the surface, patiently awaiting it's first opportunity to emerge!:D:D

I say what I see, Kev. Been praising him more often than not. He wasn't particularly bad yesterday, not really. But he offered us bugger all going forward again and for me, in this formation, that's a must. Which is all I was saying. Like Berry yesterday, he wasn't at the races, not involved enough. Only Hourihane and Bailey were what I'd harshly deem as *****. But they're all entitled to a bad day at work. I'll be having one tomorrow. :)
