It was mostly about Hattie Jacques but, of course, their partnership was a very long one so naturally Eric featured in the programme. Was listening to it late last night driving into London and it passed a very pleasant hour or so. I know that not ALL "old time" comedy was good but Eric's brand was definitely good. As has been said elsewhere, harmless comedy. Nothing offensive, no double entendres like Frankie Howard - just good, clean humour. Others on this board will feel, like me, that another one from our generation has gone, and feel sad at his passing. Incidentally, I had forgotten how long ago Hattie Jacques went. Over thirty years ago, and she was only 58. Eric must have lived a cleaner, healthier life!
