    Escapism is mental diversion by means of entertainment or recreation, as an "escape" from the perceived unpleasant aspects of daily stress.

    The commentator said escapism, as in "Aston Villa showing great escapism" - hmmm so he was making up a new meaning.

    Somebody asked if it was a word!
