I am a "stay away fan" as you put it. However I would dearly love to go to every match.I certainly can afford it without question. However my job makes it impossible. I live 250 miles away and work 5 saturdays in 6 till 1pm. Its just impossible to get there in 2 hours, Unless one of the helicopter pilots on here may like to help me out. the one saturday in 6 so far has not coincided with a home game either, but if or when it does I am there NP. Before I had this job I saw EVERY home game and many aways, the 500mile round trip means nowt but it does take time.Prior to this I was a ST holder for around 15 years.I am not the only one in this genre either. In think Jay was correct in pointing out that the prices were announced and then the fans made their choices.
Well like yourself - I've moved away (to north wales) i was a season ticket holder for a number of years - but in the last couple before leaving i was a pay on the day supporter. The two times I've been due to go back to Barnsley (this sat just gone £30 - i didn't go) the game against Ipswich in Dec (will go now its a Cat C) Not sure why you created a new thread though?
Maybe he wants to create a Wales branch BFC supporters club... You could travel to games together .... South wales depart 5am, picking up in north Wales 10am, Oakwell, and back. Every sixth Saturday. Proper fans.
hmm not sure either , finger trouble somehow. However I see some of the points conan makes, those who live in easy distance etc. But it will always be the same, you will get the crowds up when we are in winning ways and down when we play crap. Its that simple. I think you may see that the ST base does not fluctuate that much give or take a thou. The Matchday attendees will always swing massively dependant on how we are doing and indeed who the team is we are playing. Pricing will have some input but will not be as massive an issue as some are making out.
Well I'm clearly not referring to you am I? If all the stay aways live 250 miles away then I offer my sincere apolgies.
