Was watching match last night, and wife watches as she is interested in most sports. Then bang and flare goes off and then an almighty bang. We both thought it was a bomb going off. They must have raided ammo boxes inside Ukraine.
So if Security is top priority how come the Russian fans??? Have got theses inside the stadium. It is obvious they could get bombs in quite easily.
The iSIS fanatics would set these off in the crowd . Although if it was in certain areas of the Russian mob it would not bother me.
USSR under Putin has big problems all way round. They are totally degrading all forms of sport.

The security is almost non existent other than a show of force with no strategy, leadership and outcome.
The tactics by the police in the streets is let it escalate and let the media have their feed then go and break heads.
Under cover reporters saying they had access to anywhere in stadium as members of the public days and weeks before tournament, I'd like to bet a pound to a penny the searching and scrutiny of the England fans was ten times more thorough than the Russian or local fans.Abetted by the fact fireworks , flares and knives and axes were smuggled in by the Russians aided IMO by local thugs.

If the Russians want to self implode as a lovable amicable country...they are doing a fantastic job.
Will we all be friends when they host the world cup there in a couple of years?
Hopefully no one will turn up....their hospitality on the whole sucks big time.
Wonder if blatter will turn up.....his mess

Uefa has begun disciplinary proceedings against Russia's Football Union after "totally unacceptable" scenes at Saturday's England-Russia game. BBC.

How is this different from what Milwall fans tried to do at Wembley?

They may be idiots, but I doubt their families would want them blown to pieces.

Another very loud bang in the Turkey v Croatia game, right after the second half kicked off.

Makes you wonder how many of these people are actually getting checked going into the ground.

To be fair security SEEMED quite tight at Wembley but both Millwall and Barnsley fans smuggled in and set off flares. Can you ever really stop everything from being smuggled in without airport style security which would mean hour long queues at the turnstyles?

We sat in Club Wembley and the security wasn't nowhere near as tight for the Millwall game as it was for the Oxford game. They just let everybody near on straight through.

At this day in age, as much as it would be farcical, they should have had a airport security like system at the Euros. With all the threats etc they should be doing what they can to stop any event and that goes for the same at the fan zones. Yes, I may sound really over protective but that's just how it is at the moment.

Regarding games in England, as long as there are thorough checks, I wouldn't be as bothered but it's common knowledge the Euros were a target for these nuggets in the Middle East.

The whole tournament should be cancelled on public safety grounds, as the French clearly haven't a clue about stadium security. An atrocity waiting to happen. It's easy to see why ISIS have had so much success there.

Heard the bang, very similar to the one last year that was actually a bomb, must admit I feared the worse.
