interesting question - Wales have their final group match in Rome. (first two matches v Turkey and Switzerland in fkn Azerbaijan - if their plane overshoots the runway they'll end up in Iraq!)
I'll be absolutely fuming if it doesn't. I really don't get the media's game with giving it so much attention - there's been 300 people infected in about 2 weeks in the UK, all of whom have been quarantined, and the rest of the world is hardly suffering from it. Cancelling sporting events is completely unnecessary.
this virus is a new and very strong. But I would like to see the figures for a more 'standard' flu virus. I think you will see that a much bigger amount will have had it and a much bigger amount will have been fatal too.
there will be . Its already been said they have it well under way and are testing it as we speak. But hey don't let that stop you coming out with the smart alec answers.
Over 360 have died in Italy, and another several thousand are ill. Infections in the UK are doubling every few days.
In contrast to most other tournaments I’ve attended there are still quite a lot of tickets available at this stage for all the games. Includes the cheapest category and England games. I wonder why?
By June most of the world will have been infected. The biggest question is will it mutate? If so for the better or worse. The football season needs to be altered. Bet Liverpool fans are getting nervous.
Isn’t that the point? If the flu is still killing large amounts of people despite the fact that the most vulnerable get vaccinated then how dangerous could this be with no vaccine at all for over a year?
There are 7.8 BILLION people on this planet. 108,000 have been infected by the virus. 3,800 have died so far. Thats a really miniscule percentage. But hey let the press scare monger away.
heres an up date site on the virus WORLDWIDE https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ I believe the press and media are once again scare mongering. As they have in the past with asian flu, swine flu, bird flu etc.
From the governments point of view it's a case balancing the need to head off a peak in infections that could paralyse public health systems against excessive economic damage. The press just want a story, which is the name of the game I guess.
