After they've just picked up a wins against in form Cardiff and Birmingham? I presume the powers that be at RUFC wish to head down to League One then
Think that decision could turn out to be a bad one just picked up some good results. That will most likely unsettle the squad and I think they will struggle even more now.
That means Lee Johnson is now the longest serving football manager in South Yorkshire. Flipping heck!
It's a strange one, but I can understand it. I think there's a feeling of, Evans has taken them as far as he can. Don't get me wrong, 2 promotions and safety last season is no mean feat. But in the same way, they're punching well above their weight now, similar to how we were for 7 years. They don't have the budget to compete in the top half of the championship, and changing managers isn't going to change that I'm afraid. Sticking with Evans could see them yo-yoing between the championship and league 1. Sacking him seems to have left them in a vein of uncertainty. But a new manager won't be able to sign new players immediately, only loanees. It's not a path I'd have gone down. Reckon Evans must have had a big say in it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Sounds to me like he quit. "It has all come as a surprise but Rotherham United must move forward " that doesn't sound like a comment of a board who made the decision
I wonder if the speculation linking him to the Peterborough job, and the rumour that he applied for it unsettled the board? Either way it means the horrible fat crook will be further away from us.
Not really. Odds have shortened dramatically on him being named Doncaster boss Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
Id say its Rotherham that has gone as far as jt can.. they've hit the same wall as we have done in the past, and will again, if we ever go back up.. Its all about money, and its sad to say, but on gates of 10k that the Championship, clubs like ours is fast becoming a step too far Is it just a coincidence that the bottom 4 in the Championship are the 3 that went up plus Rotherham.
Like we are trying to do with young hungry players it the only way we could survive if we were promoted again. I agree with what you say though the gap is getting bigger don't know how Brentford survive either less then 10k there against wendsday and they brought 1800 empty seats in home end aswell.
