That game was the worst thing that could have happened to us this season. It gave us false hope, gave the players are false marker of how good they were and gave LJ false indication of how good his philosophy on how to play was. I know it's been the only thing to cheer this season but I can't get my head around how we went from a performance like that to the bottom of the league. A lot on here me included on the basis of that game thought we could have gone on to have done well this season, even with the young team I never expected this, fair play to some on here they guessed right that we would struggle. I keep having to remind people that we LOST that game! It wasn't even a giant-kill! It was merely a weaker team overachieving for sections of a game against higher opposition. It happens all the time in cup clashes.
For me, it showed us well the players can play when no motivation is needed. I'd be questioning why the manager can't get the same lads up for the league games
If players worked and played as hard as they did in the Everton game we would flying high at top of the league...
