But after reading some of their fans comments about Stones I hope they **** up magnificently. Bloody Scousers.
Don't know how to post a link from iPod. They are oblivious to how good a player they have for such a bargain price.
A lot on twitter rambling on about "we wanted xxxx and we get a full back on loan from BARNSLEY!?" type stuff.
Not had any on here asking how good of a prospect he is, They will soon warm up to him though, when they see how gifted he is
Have you ever read this place when we've signed someone from a lower league? They'll not have seen him play, that's all. He'll soon change their mind.
I work with an Everton fan. When he says good morning tomorrow I'm just going to tell him to **** off.
Although I understand the notion that are few are saying about the way that we react on here about signing players from leagues below but this doesnt compare. If the said player was playing for Accrington Stanley, but was an England u19 international and all the other clubs in our division were after him then I would think it was a massive coup. The players we sign from the leagues below arent internationals, arent wanted by our Championship rivals, so it doesnt really compare. Ive read the threads on all of the Everton fans forums and to be honest, 70% of them are arrogant and obnoxious. They will soon be purring at Mr Stones when he is galloping down the touchline at Goodison. Maybe not this year and maybe not next but it is my view he will be in the full England Squad by the time he is 21.
Everton are my preferred prem team and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does - would still love him to be with us but moyes will look after him. My mates are Everton fans and they seem to think he's the right type of player to fill a troubled position. They also trust moyes to sign the right players and a five and a half year deal shows what they feel about his potential
The boards I looked at last night were mostly non-commital. They weren't dancing in the streets with the idea of signing Stones, but there weren't many threads condemning him. Most didn't seem to know who he was, but some were pleased they'd got a young lad in who could really develop. It seems to me that anything that happens with Barnsley FC at this moment in time is going to be treat as a negative. The lad has gone, and I wish him well, and hope he develops to his full potential.
The negativity among Everton fans is that we didn't sign a top class player, as we were told we would, to go straight in team and kick us onto fourth We know Stones is an excellent long term signing for us, and any disrespect to him or Barnsley was intended. He'll always be a passionate Barnsley fan and the key thing at Everton is we'll help him develop as a person as well as player. Stones will remain grounded and hopefully follow Baines' path! Well done on bringing such a talent thru and I hope you're able to put the money to good use!
Ha ha, yeah, 'kin take that Stones and Barnsley and stick it where the sun dont shine. Blooming iPhone on a train ain't good...yes UNintended I meant!
