goalkeeper - muller, but injured centre halves -foster, but played out of position souza, hit and miss moore, too slow centre mid - howard, desperately missing support da silva, injured, can't come back soon enough colace, would have got clearence quicker if he was an illegal immigrant! strikers - macken, looks half the player of last season, but gets woeful service hume, needs time, but same story regarding service to sum up, injuries to clear and we should be much stronger, still haven't got that elusive 20 goal a season striker that we're desperate for and a decent centre half to play alongside foster, sounds easy, doesn't it?
RE: nice to see a good response to a thought out post, don't know why i bother There is nothing much to say, you seem to have covered everything. However, I do wish everyone, including you, would get out of this habit of thinking that all we have to do is wait for DaSilva to get better and then everything will be alright. What if he doesn't get back his fitness or his skill or his appetite for the game? It wouldn't be the first time.
What we need is Nyatanga and Werling back. Werling and Haimour down the left now that would be entertaining, Foster and JCR down right. Nyatanga and Souza with Moore to push for their place. Howard, leon, De Silva and Colace fighting it out for centre midfield. I'm sure striker will produce if the rest of the team is set up right.
I am not too sure about a strong spine, i think our manager needs some strong lager, it might loosen him up and make him talk to most of the squad again.
