Now can we call a Hill bashing amnesty and try to drum up some support for him and the team ahead of the derby match this Saturday? Local pride is at stake so at least let's play our part as fans and get behind the team and manager once more.

I truly believe Hill is doing all he can to make us successful. I also believe he gets his approach and decisions wrong from time to time, but I don't doubt his commitment and desire one bit.

I wish he would do some things differently, but I've thought that of every BFC and England manager that I've witnessed. As hard as it is to be a Barnsley fan at the moment, he's got my support.

It will re commence at 5pm Saturday after another loss in which he says, if we'd scored and stopped them scoring, we'd have been alright

    Fair enough.

But until then can we draw a line under the outrage for a day or two? Get some banter back on the BBS and support them up to and during the Huddersfield game?

All of the posts now are just repetition or rehashed points that have been said numerous times over the past few days.

If we are w4nk again, then as fans we are all entitled to our opinon after the game, be it positive or negative. I'm just asking for the fans to dig deep again, as hard as it is at the moment, up to and during Saturday's match.

No I wouldn't. Love us to win every game, but it's quite obvious this guys gone very defensive, inviting teams to come at us.

Me too DT. Like to have a moan on here, although I don't consider myself as negative as some folk, but I do like to say it as I see it. Fully behind them in the ground though.

Tired (of all this ****) to be honest.

I've had my say, everyone else has had their say.

I was just trying to appeal as a fan, to other fans, but if no ones interested, then **** the lot of ya!!! :p

(Except those who liked my OP as they too are blessed with football intelligence).

the positivity HAS to start at the top, its no good the fans cheering and clapping for 90 mins, if the manager is as miserable as a bulldog licking piss off a nettle, the owner is as elusive as the Scarlet Pimpernel and the General manager is running around trying to find coppers down the back of every sofa he can find!
Hill needs to be sounding a battle cry, one to bring the fans down to Oakwell expecting tom see 11 players out on the pitch having a bloody good bash at WINNING games, not pissing about and giving the opponents the ball after 30 passes sideways and backwards. Get at the opponents and make THEM worry about how they can contain us, not the other way round. Get the ball into the box with pace, who knows we might get a deflection or God forbid a a tap in.
Cryne needs to come out and say what is happening, that way no-one would have to try and imagine how hard Hill; is having to work. Rowing should get Barry (invisible man)Taylor is do some money hunting too.

Barnsley fans will always back the team if they think the team are going to put the effort in, ,it matters not where the players come from, all that matters is that the fans see them working hard and putting the effort in, but the players need leadership fropm the managerial team and at thi moment in time all that seems to come from that direction is twaddle and excuses trying to deflect any blame from them.

Just my opinions , but I am sure some of them are shared by may, some obviously only want to see a nice jacket and hear inane comments, but that will wear off eventually.

    No sh*t?

We all know it's been crap lately, I was just suggesting that we pull together for a day or two rather than all bitch at each other. Forget it.

But there's very little to unite the fans. Marks got nail on the head.

What folk don't get - even though it is blumming obvious, is that negativity is contagious and feeds off itself, spreading around and contaminating everything it comes into contact with. Every miserable moan and groan posted on here will affect our club's fortunes adversly whether you like it, or are aware of it or not.

Every time Keith Hill has to go over and over the circumstances in which he is working, that is one more ounce of energy and enthusiasm sapped - for no good reason but to respond to a banal question by a crap journalist whose idea of research is to read this bloody board. That's one less ounce of energy, vitality - call it what you will, that he doesn't take to the training ground or a team talk. Maybe it's that extra 5 minutes of enthusiasm and insight that he didn't spend on John Stones or another player for who that extra dedication might make no end of difference to their game.

And why? Because instead - being a Thursday, the press conference is straight after training and he is more distracted by that and the thought of facing the same stupid fcking questions from the same crap journalists, prompted by the same dull, moaning dullards who only come out when it's raining and have nothing at all to contribute to the positive welfare of the club - who for them is nothing more than an emotional punch bag for everything else wrong with their little lives and the thought of coming on and praising the team and manager for the good results we have had would stick in their throats because that would only mean they were wrong. Instead they will turn in the manager and accuse him of negativity. Regardless of the fact that they have caused a once buoyant, confident, funny and enthusiastic man to be beaten down and drained under the tiresome, perpetual drudgery that has caused him to reach for ever more bizarre metaphors and analogies, that are now affecting the confidence of players who thought they were at least Asda and putting them off their goals and clean sheets.

Dreadful grammar but only one swear word, that was me being negative. I advise folk to consider the word - supporter. Think about what it means and how it might apply to them.

Mr C , I can see what you are saying but , it has to start at the top, no good the manager moaning all week then expecting the fans/supporters to be blindly cheer and clap and be excited , when all week we have been told, we have no money,we are not good enough, we are lucky to still be in this league, we have no money, the manager is fantastic, the player are low on confidence,we have no money, the manager is intelligent,we have no money, the fans are negative, the media dont like him, other teams have more money, the manager likes to be linked to other clubs, he has no money.
Yes I can see why he thinks its the fans fault.
If he cannot handle the pressure of being a manager then he needs to either buck his ideas up and battle it out or **** off and leave it to someone that can handle the pressure.

absolutely spot on Mark, I think on quite a few occasions this season the atmosphere, at Oakwell has been better than for quite a while but was it built on by the team was it hell as like.
