where are the pro Davey mob who were making all the noises today. Would just like to hear what they have to say (titanic) (titanic) (titanic) (titanic) (titanic) (titanic) (titanic)
They apparently don't overreact like us. They like to sleep on it and form a considered judgement overnight. We're just a hysterical mob who cannot see Simon Davey for the tactical genius that he is.
I see what you mean onemickybutler but might I suggest you consider taking a sleeping pill to help overcome the jet lag
I'm not a Davey man but I wouldn't sack him yet, we've been shocking tonight but lets see how we go when De Silva comes back in and we have Campbell -Ryce and Hume at 100%. He's had a shocker tonight though both with his selections, tactics and substitutions no excuses.
'He's had a shocker tonight with his......' a) 'Selections': The team he put out looked the strongest that was available to him. He did what everyone has been suggesting and played Odd Job from the start, brought Campbell Ryce back in and played a regular defensive midfielder in Colace. b) 'Tactics': I'm sure he has been pumping it into the entire squad all week to be so ragged with their passing, not beat the first man with their crosses and go AWOL from their defensive duties. c) 'Substitutions': This is the one thing I agree with. Macken had an awful game and shouldn't have played the full 90 minutes. When he brought Leon on, he should have taken Macken off and put Hume up front. Having not done that, (Hume shouldn't have played at Blackpool and was probably cream crackered) he could have also taken Macken off and put Mostto on. Davey infuriates me as much as anyone else, particularly with his attitude towards away games, but you can't put everything at his door. That's letting the players off the hook.
