I know it's been awful since Jan, I was looking forward going to games until Butts/Drinkwater and Vaz Te all went, and now it's been very poor. But, we all need to get behind Keith and buy our season tickets. I've bought mine again and will be coming from Hull as normal, if you want a championship club you need to back your club now.

We need to help Keith as much as possible, it's nothing short of embarrassing having 8-9000 home fans at a game, I cringe when seeing the highlights on tv, less than this would just be a joke. The people of Barnsley need to support the team more now than ever. Hull got 16000 home fans tonight and that is poor for them, the people of Hull aren't much better off than Barnsley, so why do they get much bigger crowds.

I think a big fans forum needs to take place straight away with all board members present, a full night down at the ground for people to air concerns instead of everyone just talking about stuff on here. I also think the club should extend the early bird price a few more weeks as once it goes past this date some might not bother. Can anyone on here try raise this with the club, people at the supporters trust etc

How many other sides are there within 35 miles of Hull?

    Good point

but when all the club do is "sell it down" there is little prospect of an upturn in support.

People cant believe in a club that cannoit even believe in itself.

2 - Grimsby and Scunny :) Plus a lot of Hull folk & people to the west of Hull are Leeds fans.

To many excuses from so called Barnsley 'fans' on here at times -the only way we will move forward is if both us the fans back the club, and the powers that be get there fingers out!!

    I agree

But there quite simply has to be a more enlightened positive constant message from the club - not just the manager, but those in charge about where we want to be and to encourage people to get involved.

I don't know if you're aware but we've been in existence 125 years and won the FA cup 100 years ago this year. Where are the rolling programme of events to celebrate ? The dinners at Oakwell or Brooklands for example where past luminaries like McCarthy, Glavin, Clarke, Hunter etc are guests of honour ? More than one dinner but several over the sseason. The exhibition at the Town Hall or Cooper Gallery showing Cup and Club memoribilia ? The one off kit ? The imaginative match day pricing for next season based on 125 ? A draw where ST holders get their ST for £125 ? A limited number of these would surely spark interest ? I dunno because marketing/pr ain't my thing but ffs surely the club hierachy could ask someone who knows about these things ?

We've got an apparent £750k shortfall in income next year - what's being done to make that back ?

It's all well and good calling the manager and the players, but they may be the best we can afford with the current regime and its inertia.

They also have 2 professional Rugby League teams which attract the same number of fans each as Barnsley.

    Re: I agree

Agree with you about the lack of any celebration of our FA Cup win of April 1912. The events that you suggest should have been taking place throughout the year, and especially this month.

I am disillusioned at the lack of ideas from the "promo department" at Oakwell, if such a thing exists.

The whole PR operation at Oakwell needs a massive overhaul, if they can't cup up with anything (that I'm aware of) to celebrate our FA Cup Centenery Year! Inertia and apathy seem to be the norm behind the scenes. A big shake-up is needed - now!

    Re: I agree

All the club official twitter's been harping on about all night is staying up, well done, mission accomplished etc.. don't fill you with hope for next season.

You never know, maybe a consortium will buy us in the summer.

And what crowds did they get before they got a new stadium? They are still on the back of being in the Premier.
