BBC headline from the Lib Dems conference: "Kennedy given ovation on return" Minor story from the same conference: "Sir Menzies wins crunch tax vote" So an ex-party leader getting an ovation, as if he ever wouldn't if only because he's fighting alcoholism, is more important than the fact that there is no longer a vaguely serious UK political party advocating progressive taxation? Now before anyone goes off on a misguided tangent I'm UK tax resident and I've never voted Lib Dem. But this stinks.
