Last season i went to the ticket office with the "Sun Offer" tokens and £20 for two tickets ..... at the ticket office, I was rather snuggly told they did not have any "Sun Offer" tickets left, but could do full price ...... so £40 odd quid ..... I gracefully declined .... I think it was the Derby County match - attendance 10,000 ... so 10,000 empty seats.... thus Barnsley FC were less my £20 .... surely my £20 is better than my £0 .... ??????? Disclaimer: I do not/did not BUY/READ the Sun, the Mother-in-law kindly collected them on my behalf
just something else to moan about the club why did you not moan at the time not 10 months later (sorry your not MOANING just stating facts ) plus everything club that do the sun offer only have so many tickets for home and away fans think leeds sent us 15 and derby i think it was sent 50
it might have been a fact last year, now its just fish and chip paper, if you could wrap fish and chips in a computer screen that is..............mmmmm fish and chips, am gettin hungry now the hangover wearing off, so to summarise the answer is purple
Unfortunately till day I stop following Barnsley there'll always be someone who moans about pricing. If we charged a kid a quid someone pillock would say it should be 99p. For the majority we seem to get it right but for others then the club will never win. Admittedly the clubs public relations could be better but when they attempt to harmonise this they got shot to ****. We've done away with the match day but this as still annoyed people. Unless its man utd, Liverpool or Chelsea down at the well or were top of league or it's 10p in the so called Barnsley fans of the town would just rather sit back and mock the clubs efforts and s****** behind there sofas. Well to all those that fall in that catogary **** off to walkabout and watch your big name teams on tele. Sunday rant over!
So we won yesterday and played well, nothing to moan about to you dragged this up from last year byy the way while we are at it, when i was six i want for a piss in the ponty end....it was just a wall!!!!!, a stinking piss soaked wall with a drain at the bottom, that is unacceptable, sort it out BFC.....
Not really. If the SUN offer is a pre-determined number of tickets, then once they are gone they are gone. There is clearly a broader issue around pricing but in this case they had run out by the time he got there. First come, first served, regardless of the number of empty seats.
As there appears to be a number of threads RE:low Bristol attendance, how much would you pay, 125 years Celebration game, what does the club do to fill the empty seats etc ..... I thought the post was rather topical ... then perhaps NOT
There is an issue about pricing, but the Sun determine the number of tickets. If those tickets have run out then why should ou get the ticket cheaper than anyone else that pays on the day. If you want cheap prices then buy a season ticket.
its only topical because of the moaning ****s,,,nobody is saying that 25/28 quid isnt to be sniffed at but to read the threads and posts on here anybody would think barnsley are the only club charging these prices,,the next time we'll be paying below 20 quid on a regular basis we'll be in league 2,see whos moaning then,,,,ffs get to as many games as you can and show the club and team some support, you never know if we could raise the attendences we may even get the chance of somebody wanting to invest in the club.. we'd all like to pay a tenner a game but we cant.
I remember a poster once complaining that he had bought a ticket for the Coventry match last season and for some reason he missed it. He then went to the ticket office after the match to get a refund and he was rightly told where to go. This thread reminded me of that.
It's the equivalent of me asking for a season ticket, them telling me £350 and me offering £200 and a £5 morrisons miles voucher. That offer's nothing to do with the club.
