Lalcovic and waring never stopped running. Pearson put a shift in and I know this won't be popular but I rated hemmings' effort

Hemmings sadly is one of those brought in who are not fast enough in terms of brain or body, and thus not good enough.

There will be a sizeable list of these to count come the season end.

Can't fault any of them for effort. And I've defended Hemmings in the past, but he looked out of his depth today.

    Have to agree.

The way he walked of it looked like his confidence was gone completely.

Almost a walk that he knew he wouldn't feature again.

I thought he showed promise beginning of season but beginning to agree. I think he will be on his way out

I actually feel a bit sorry for Hemmings. He tries hard and that can't be questioned but he's lacking in quality and is easily stopped at this level. I don't think he should be near the team really. To be honest, if Jennings worked as hard he might be a decent player.

Lalkovic - man of the match for me alongside Cranie. Not sure why he went off. Vale were terrified of him from the start - two men on him every time.

Waring - not seen that kind of centre forward play for a while. Balls lofted to him, killed on the chest and usually a good ball played from there. Good lad

Hemmings - maybe effort was all you could credit him with today. It certainly wouldn't be skill on the ball or danger in the box. He just looks terrified when the ball goes near him and he invariably makes a mistake. The crowd then get on to him, and then he makes another, and so on..... He looked promising at first but has not stepped up when given a chance in the team. Maybe there is a player two or three years from now, but he's pretty hopeless at the moment.

Hemmings is far too easily knocked off the ball. Strikers have to fight like terriers to retain possession. He is so easy to dispossess...

He's not taken his chances, and despite my defence of him previously, performing as he did today I don't see much of a future for him with us. Shame, because he does work hard and gets into some decent positions, but look at the difference once Winnall came on...

I would have had Winnall on at half time but we have to take the manager's judgement above what we want. If he was 100% fit he would have started. But what an effect he had and I loved the bit in the penalty area when he applauded the Ponty End for singing his name. Clearly a mutual love affair :)
Wish that rasping shot of his had gone past the keeper instead of straight at him. He wouldn't have got near it

Hemmings best contribution today was definitely getting subbed and I say that as one who has defended him.

He cleared one off the line.
He also brought the best save of the game out of their keeper
i thought he had a very mixed game mixing total rubbish with some good contributions. Of course some will ignore those
