Great game yesterday, best match I've seen at the 'well for many a year. Colchester were very good and came to win. But the Reds were the better team and deserved to win, should have had at least one penalty - blatant handball.

As for the late throw-in, what would most of our fans thought if we'd been a goal down and thrown the ball back to them?

My man of the match - McPhail - ran the match, was the only player to put his foot on the ball and switch play intellegently.

Sunday Express describes the match as a "disappointing encounter". Even a Colchester fan would be hard pushed to consider the match itself to be disappointing.
Best game I've seen all season, and the first one after which I've thought we might just possibly have a sniff of going up.

Not sure about "best for many a year", in the first half we were awful - couldn't seem to find a red shirt with a pass most of the time, lost count of the number of passes that went astray, looked only a matter of time before Colchester scored...but at least defence held firm and Colgan was solid.
In the 2nd half it switched around and we were swamping them and then it looked like we were only side going to score...well taken goal following an excellent save from their keeper...and Colgan was outstanding in the last few minutes.

MotM for me was Hassell just outshading Howard, with Colgan 3rd.

It was a first half of two halves for me

I thought in the forst 20 minutes we really struggled.  But I also thought the 20 minutes up to half time was our best spell in the game.

Yep, probably a bit harsh to say that we were awful for the entire 1st half.....but I think the first 25-30 mins we didn't seem to know what colour shirts we were wearing!
