I agree

Would love to get rid of the top 4 and let the rest play it out for the league, at least it would be interesting then.

    RE: I agree

Rangers and Celtic would end up winning it year after year if they were introduced to the EPL theyre turnover would quadruple and they would have immense pulling power for players. They wouldn't dominate initially but after a few years i am sure they would be the 'big 2'

    Really?

I've always thought they'd just yo-yo between the Premier League and Championship. No Scottish team is good enough for the Premier League imho.

Rangers and Celtic would be at least a mid table premirship club.

    I dunno.

I watched the cup final on Sunday, and the standard of football was pathetic.

i agree to some extent and out of the two rangers would become the smaller club. the worldwide pull of the Celtic brand would be enough to attract the players and the monies needed to survive and push on. And to be honst, how many games do Celtic lose at home in europe?

Completely different to the league though...

Everybody ups their game for the European games. That's why you saw Liverpool winning it but only finishing 5th in the league, outside their usual top 4 finish.

    It would surely self destruct

I doubt that enough away supporters would be able to afford to travel more than a couple of times a season. Even if the stadiums could fill with home supporters it wouldn't really create the right atmosphere.

Even if they could, imagine the extra air traffic over Europe, created by planeloads of supporters from around 30 teams, every week.

And even if that were possible - the increasing guilt bestowed upon people regarding green issues and unnecessary air travel will surely kill it off.

point i was making is Celtic at home would be near unbeatable for them and they would be able to get th quality in the squad to challenge away.

I agree that they would gain the finances needed

but the current and recent squads are very poor.

    Lee Naylor? Kenny Miller? Samaras?

Look at Barry Ferguson. Top man in Scotland, lost in the shuffle at Newcastle.

I'd **** them off now if I had my way. Our premier league is so boring and predictable it's become a joke. Just when you think another club might just break the top 4 monopoly they blow it and normal service is resumed. By their own standards Chelsea and Arsenal have had pretty poor seasons yet they will still finish in the top 4 along with the other two members of this closed to new membership club. Fecking mind numbingly boring (zzz) (zzz) (zzz)

    absolute nonsense

the traditions are way too ingrained now for English football.... this would spell the end of the merseyside Derby , the Manc Derby, along with various other London derbies. Also the intensity of the leagues would evaporate. The Football League... and I encompass the Premiership there...goes back well over a hundred and twenty years in some form...Sorry but to simply wipe that tradition on the Whim of AC Milan is just not on. However it will sure as hell show just how much money talks should it go ahead. It will also invoke totally ridiculous transfer fees...and how long before it goes totally Americanised with "Commercial Breaks" every 15 minutes...sorry thats not my view of a sports competition.

Out of the two Celtic would cope better as they have players who want to run forever and fight for 90 mins. Ranger's I'm not sure about.
