Madrid can't run , how have they been winning games??? Did there scouts not report back saying that we need to press Arsenal to beat them.
Instead they are the 1st team this season to let Arsenal play and look what happened!

Magnificent performance, and played in a good spirit Apart from the nasty little full back who should have been booked 3 or 4 times, both sides played the game how it should be played - at pace, with oodles of skill and great sportsmanship. Brilliant result - well done Arsenal. Fabrigas - what a player!
They played right into Arsenals hands if they had harrased em, as many prem teams now do they would have done better, Arsenal quicker, won more 50/50 balls and played a more creative game
Gutti Captain??? He wasnt in the team last season , now he is Captain??
They must be one of the slowest teams in the world.
Ciccinho should have been off for persistent fouling of Reyes.

RE: Magnificent performance, and played in a good spirit not much sportsman ship when reyes rolled back onto the pitch to waste time the cheating Barsteward
Sole contribution was a powder puff Challenge on Henry as he went in to Score. I think Henry will be thinking 30 goals a season if he goes to play in Spain.
Unless Arsenal have a complete nightmare in the home leg I dont see how they can lose.

RE: Magnificent performance, and played in a good spirit Arsenal were going down and staying down for ages in the last 10 minutes but can you really blame them - that's European football I'm afraid. Good week so far with a win for Arsenal over the Facistos and the Scousers losing, now for a Spanish double tonight from Barca and Villareal.
"Unless Arsenal have a real nightmare" It's a finely balanced tie - Real have the away goal advantage in that Arsenal cannot go though on away goals, a 1 goal win would take Real through (well 1-0 would mean extra time) and they are more than capable of getting that.
Take note Ritchie................. When you're in the lead don't sit back and merely defend, Arsenal, you may have noted , continued an attacking format in an attempt to increase the scoreline.ff (2gay) (blagger) (blagger) (blagger)
Totally wrong Eaststander.... Go through that again how Madrid would go through on the away goal if it finished 1-0 to them at Highbury?????
That would make the score 1-1 with both teams scoring one away.
That would lead to a game of penalties. That is where players take alternate shots at the goal from 12 yards with just the goalkeeper to beat. They are not allowed to put a wall up or anything.
Sorry to explain it in such a way but for the 1st time ever it has crossed my mind you might be a female..............

Read it again Read the bit where I say 1-0 would mean extra time. At no point did I say they would go through with a 1-0 win. What I was saying was that Real have the away goals advantage in that only they could possibly go through on away goals. Perhaps you'd like to take a commentators view instead where they say "Arsenal have the vital away goal" even though in the context of the away goals rule it is irrelevent as they kept a clean sheet, thereby impossible to go through on away goals!
RE: "Unless Arsenal have a real nightmare" "a 1 goal win would take Real through" - ahem no it wouldn't.

RE: "Unless Arsenal have a real nightmare" You've obviously not learned yet about reading on into brackets!
