Poor finishing cost us tonight because we created far far more chances than they did.
The bad points: Colace, about as mobile as the stewards. Stood around looking uninterested for far too long again. Which is the academy player? Him or butterfield? Bad finishing, please work on headers in training tomorrow (we'll worry about shooting afterwards) Kozluks positioning at times was terrible, not half the player that Shotton is. JCR. Did nowt when he came on. The ref. Utter ****.
The good:
Everything else. Defended well as a unit. specifically darren moore who was excellent tonight. Anderson. Thought he had a really good game and wouldn't have looked out of place in their midfield. bogdanovic's movement off the ball was brilliant. Ok he didn't score but he did exactly what Davey accused him of not doing, he was running the channels and looking for the ball. The players attitude. Never gave up, put everything into it. can't ask for more than that.

We lost but we gave a bloody good account of ourselves

Sorry but did you go to the same game as me?
Colace was fantastic. Won countless amount of tackles
Kozzie had his best game for ages

I went to the one at oakwell where a lot of people around me were saying things like 'hes got to take him off', 'colace hasnt performed, hope he takes him off soon' and 'i thought he might have played better today after saturday but hes been just as bad'
Im glad you posted that I thought just the same. In fact I'd start with Kozzie on Saturday Bit puzzled as to how Moore got man of the match mind...
Colace was superb, we would have been taken apart without him and kozluk had his best game of the season (not hard though i suppose)

I thought the stewards and police were a disgrace. Was sat in East Lower near the away end and a girl near us was hit by a coin yet the police did nothing. They allowed the manu fans to throw bottles onto the pitch and at our fans and just stood there ffs.
Good post In the main. But I don't agree about Colace. Thought he had a good game, Man U never truly over-ran us in midfield, and he was one of the reasons why.
Kozzy started badly but definitely improved. He was better than when I've seen him of late anyway
Spot on with the rest though

Colace had a great game tonight and Kozluck he the experience we needed tonight. Anderson was hit and miss, excellent in patches and then poor at other times particularly in the first half.
Got told Sky said it was 12 attempts on goal and 1 on target. That won't include a number of half chances, balls across the box etc. We could have won by a cricket score margin. The scoreline flattered our opponents and it was a travesty we didn't score.
I thought Kozzie was his usual self ****. Lost count on the amount of times he was out of position, he looked unfit as he didn't seem to want to track back when he broke forward. His long balls are dire aswell.
We've just played the best squad in Europe and done pretty well! I'd say that one of the reasons for that was colace's starring role in midfield. Only guessing mind!
I thought Kozzy and Colace both had decent games Not too impressed with Julian Gray though, I think a fit Bobby Hassell would have done better.
Though Colace was ball watching for their first and should at least have made an attempt to connect with the cross in front of the empty net. Otherwise did well enough but would be an even better player if he could tackle properly. Mind you, the ref didn't seem to be able to distinguish between a tackle and a push in the back for most of the match anyway.
don't agree no heart, no desire, no passion. colace had a good game, as did boggy. halfredsson was terrible (again) and how he manages to stay on the pitch is beyond me. we desperately need a vocal, inspiring leader on the pitch. I like Fozzie but he ain't a captain.
