There would have been no signings before Thursday then and Ritchie was going with what we have (and which is failing us)
His lack of ambition was a 'body blow' to PC
There is money
Ritchie not prepared to strengthen

Bloody hell

As stated before, we must now back our beloved Club. GS and PC have done what they think is correct, whether we agree or disagree they need support
I for one will be singing my heart out on Saturday as we hopefully move onwards and upwards
Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooreds!

Agree entirely! It has to be a difficult decision in any situation but it has to be the right one in this case!

So it was Ritchie all along who wouldn't sign players.
I hope all the people who slagged Gordon Shepard off for being tight will now have the grace to apologise to him.

Ritchie must now go down in history as the only manager who has constantly refused to sign players. The board have tried to get him to sign players ever since Burns left us.I think from the comments Mr Shepard and Mr Cryne made last season that had we not been promoted last season Ritchie would have be sacked.

It's time some folk stopped throwing their dummy out of the pram and got behind Simon Davey. We could have a real gem of a manager here.

Who is going to run the Academy in the meantime?

They'll have to bring someone in somewhere won't they?

In recent times, we've had nearly as many different people running the academy as the first team.

You'll rot your liver drinking that stuff, it's horrible. I think that I'll celebrate with a tame but more tasty bottle of Spitfire.

I only had them when I went down to training to see if AR was doing anything with the team. No need for me to go down again in the immediate future,'cos I know they will now be coached. Lets see if we start to defend set pieces better now and score more goals from them.

You never know you one day you might be able to say that "that Johnny Coahman was right".

That's one place where we do need stability.

In the short term Dave Hancock could do the job.

I don't think it will be very long before we get someone in.

I would like to see Mark Smith back or someone like Steve Beaglehole.

Have you been hammering the club for 20 years?

We have been **** at defending and attacking at set pieces since I have been watching us.

Only about twice in the last 20 years have we come close to letting in less goals than games played.

If Ritchie had signed players from the limited funds available (and they were limited, otherwise McPhail would have been re-signed and also Chopra signed) they would have been no better than those on our books. Having a geriatric Chairman, who thinks he can manage/coach a football club, and choose players must be galling to a Manager. Why not have some idiot like Young Nudger or Rosco or that wonderful coach, Johnny Coachman doing the job. For BFC, to save money, why not hire a first class Physio, and let the Board, YN, Rosco and Co. select the team.

Next season, no season ticket, thank you. I have been disgusted beyond words with our Chairman. His refusal a mere three weeks or so ago to allow Andy to speak to the Owls, and by virtue of that, indicating that a contract was imminent, speaks volumes.

I sounds like Andy was made REDUNDANT rather than fired!

I pretty much agree with you.

I'll be surprised if they even bother to replace him at all.

Why not let me manage the club?

Ill tell you what mate I wouldn't be joining in the training from start to finish.
I would be out there every day coaching the side. Practicing set pieces, defending them and attacking with them. Working on shaping the team in to a coordinated unit. I'd be Standing on the touch line observing, analysing and trying to get things right.
Things AR wasn't doing.
So **** off and let me drink beer.
