    - contract extensions
    - seem to be spending in market
    - sell when its best for club (from a position of strength now)

I agree... whilst i know we've sold players previously for peanuts so i think most fans are a bit worried...im being positive and putting faith in our owners to extend contracts if possible and sign quality players as additions or replacements

I've no reason to doubt them. We'll see in the long term if they can change our fortunes. We have to punch above our weight these days to stay in the Championship. It was easier in the 80's & 90's as there was more of a level playing field in terms of signing & hanging on to quality players. We still lost them, but at least we made that decision & usually got a few seasons out of them. John Stones only made 22 league appearances for us & those were mainly as a full back. Contract terms & agents nullify a lot of the power of having players under contract. Even Chelsea have been affected. We just need to enjoy the good times. We'll end up back in League 1 at some point, but hopefully not soon.
